About

MX Publishing brings the best in new Sherlock Holmes novels, biographies, graphic novels and short story collections every month. With over 300 books it's the largest collection of new Sherlock Holmes books in the world.

We have over one hundred Holmes authors. The majority of our authors write new Holmes fiction - in all genres from very traditional pastiches through to modern novels, fantasy, crossover, childrens books and humour.

In Holmes biography we have internationally acclaimed and award winning historians including Alistair Duncan, Paul R Spiring, and Brian W Pugh.

We are a social enterprise and support five causes through our activities:

Stepping Stones School – Hindhead, UK

UK is a school for children with learning disabilities based in the former home of the creator of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The building - ‘Undershaw’ has been restored back to its former glory and now houses one of Europe’s leading facilities for learning disabilities. Steve Emecz is a patron of the school.

Happy Life Children’s Home – Nairobi, Kenya

Twinned with Stepping Stones, Happy Life has saved the lives of over 600 abandoned babies in the last two decades. The project has expanded to include a school and paediatric hospital. Steve and his wife Sharon spend every Christmas out at Happy Life with the kids.

The Mandel Public Library – West Palm Beach, Florida.

The library provides a vital resource for literacy and education in one of the most dynamic city communities in Florida. Phil Growick works closely with the library team on art projects in WPB.

The American Cancer Society

This is the leading venue for cancer research in the U.S. and will receive its proceeds from all USA and GLOBAL editions.

The World Food Programme

There are 821 million undernourished people in the world today. That means one in nine people do not get enough food to lead an active and healthy life. In fact, hunger and malnutrition are the number one risk to health worldwide — greater than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. The good news is that hunger is entirely solvable. And it costs just US$0.50 to feed one child for a day. Steve Emecz is a World Food Programme mentor
